Author Guidelines

  • Scope of Manuscripts
    Manuscripts must fall within the fields of Theology, Christian Counseling, and Christian Education, in accordance with the journal’s Focus and Scope.
  • Manuscript Originality
    Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal, conference, or publisher.
  • Manuscript Submission
    Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS). Authors are required to complete all metadata, including title, abstract, keywords, author information, affiliation, and references.
  • Article Structure
    Research articles should generally follow the IMRAD structure: Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. Adjustments may be made for theological, biblical, hermeneutical, or conceptual studies.
  • Title
    The title must be specific, informative, and concise, with a maximum of 15 words. An English title is recommended for articles written in Indonesian.
  • Authors and Affiliations
    Authors’ names must be written without academic titles. Complete institutional affiliation, city, country, and corresponding author email must be provided. ORCID iD is recommended where available.
  • Abstract and Keywords
    The abstract should contain 100–1500 words and briefly present the purpose, method, and main findings. Abstracts in both English and Indonesian are recommended, accompanied by 3–5 keywords.
  • Manuscript Length and Format
    Manuscripts should contain 4,000–8,000 words.
  • Tables, Figures, and Diagrams
    All tables, figures, and diagrams must be numbered, clearly titled, referred to in the text, and properly sourced when applicable.
  • Citations and References
    Citations and references must follow APA 7th Edition. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero. All cited sources must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
  • Reference Quality
    Authors are encouraged to prioritize relevant scholarly references from the last ten years, except for classical or foundational sources. Peer-reviewed journal articles and primary scholarly sources should be prioritized, and DOI information should be included where available.
  • Publication Ethics
    Manuscripts must comply with scholarly publication ethics and be free from plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical requirements and provide ethical approval where necessary.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal, unless an explanation has been provided in the Comments for the Editor section.
  • The manuscript file is submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document format.
  • Where available, the URL for each reference has been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced, uses a 11-point font, uses italics rather than underlining except for URL addresses, and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate locations rather than at the end of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript follows the writing style and reference requirements specified in the Author Guidelines.
