SHAKAN: Jurnal Teologi, Konseling, dan Pendidikan Kristen is a scholarly journal that publishes studies in the fields of Theology, Christian Counseling, and Christian Education. It is published by STT Tabernakel Indonesia Surabaya. SHAKAN provides a platform for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and academics to publish high-quality scholarly works that are relevant to the development of the church, ministry, and Christian education. SHAKAN welcomes article submissions from authors across Indonesia and abroad, as well as from scholars and practitioners who are interested in topics within the journal’s focus and scope. Manuscripts published in SHAKAN undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a substantive peer-review process conducted by qualified reviewers with expertise in the relevant fields. This process is intended to maintain the academic quality, relevance, and scholarly contribution of each published article.
Starting from Vol. 1 No. 2, SHAKAN: Jurnal Teologi, Konseling, dan Pendidikan Kristen will publish articles in English as part of its commitment to expanding its academic reach, increasing international accessibility, and strengthening scholarly communication with a broader global readership.

SHAKAN: Jurnal Teologi, Konseling, dan Pendidikan Kristen, Vol. 1 No. 1 (2026) is the inaugural issue of the journal, featuring five articles that focus on theology, pastoral counseling, Christian education, social ethics, spirituality, and Christian morality. This issue has been available online since April 2026. All articles in this issue were written or co-authored by 13 authors from 6 affiliations. The issue presents contextual academic reflections on various matters related to church life, education, ministry, and the dynamics of modern society. Through this inaugural issue, SHAKAN is expected to serve as a scholarly platform that promotes the development of critical, inclusive, and contextually relevant Christian thought within the Indonesian context.
